Who is Emma?
Eight years ago I established Sing Together Ltd, a company which specialises in forging creative partnerships with established theatres and workplaces.
I am a resident theatre director, spoken voice and Acting through Song specialist. I have worked at Identity School of Acting and Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and have extensive experience as a conductor/MD, singer, pianist/repetiteur and teacher of music. I have directed and written 7 professional productions, (involving 65 actors), several of which have transferred to other theatres within the Trafalgar Theatre Group. Other Sing Together collaborations include Luca Silvestrini’s PROTEIN and The Catford Weekender.
In September 2023 I launched a part time acting programme at the Churchill Theatre. The course consists of three intensive terms during which the students are taught basic stagecraft, receive Voice, Movement and Singing classes, prepare Verse and Text Monologues, and rehearse and perform scenes from classic plays by playwrights such as Henrik Ibsen, Anton Chekhov, Tennessee Williams, Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw. Come and join our creative community. There is a place for everybody in our Sing Together community. The Sing Together choir is based in the The Churchill Theatre, Bromley and we meet every week with a short break over the summer and Christmas. Our repertoire is predominantly musical theatre, classical and popular classics. We regularly perform in our host venue.
The Sunday Sing - Mosaic -our new chamber choir takes place at St Andrew’s Church, Court Rd New Eltham - every Sunday between 5pm and 6.30pm. We welcome new members at all times of the year. See our ‘Sing with Us’ page. Mosaic’s repertoire is mainly classical. Scores will be distributed at rehearsals.
Launching every September is a 1 year PART TIME ACTING PROGRAMME for adults in conjunction with the Creative Learning Department of the Churchill Theatre. Please check this link for more details. This exciting course takes place every Thursday evening 30 weeks of the year in the Churchill Theatre.
